Self Defense/security tips for the Holiday

Here are a few things to keep in mind for the Christmas holiday shopping season:
  1. Put packages in the trunk (out of sight), before going to your next stop. This way, when you arrive at your next stop, any would-be burglars won't see anything of value inside your vehicle.
  2. Always be alert in public, watching for people who may jump out from behind a vehicle or from around a corner.
  3. Park next to a light pole, if even you have to walk a little farther. This will help you to see if anyone is standing near your vehicle.
  4. Use credit cards instead of carrying large amounts of cash. Credit cards can be replaced by making a phone call, cash cannot.
  5. Keep your doors locked and your windows up, so you can't be pulled from your vehicle.
  6. Get gas during the daytime, when fewer thugs are out buying their beer and smokes and causing trouble.
  7. Carry bags and purses tighly under your arm. This makes them much harder to grab.

That's all for today folks.

Have a great one!
