Here's why. The bad guys, (drug dealers, gang members) won't be turning in any guns,
at least not any good ones that they use to spread violence and sell drugs around town.
The only ones who would be likely to turn in their guns are the average citizen who might
need some cash and has a gun in the house. The problem with this is that they will no longer
have the guns when one of these drug dealers or gang members mistakenly knocks down
their front door, shooting at them. They won't be able to shoot back.
Ah, but the gun trade was a 'success', well I say a success for who?
As a quick side note regarding the 'Big Kuta videos:
Many have asked when these will be done, because this has taken
much longer than anyone expected. Well, heres the quick version
of what happened.
My video person tried a new video camera for this one event. It was one
of those DVD camcorders, and wow, what a mess! That led to one problem
after another. (He has returned to his 3 chip, mini-dv production quality
camera so this shouldn't happen again)
Each step of the way, capturing, editing, finalizing, rendering
took unusual measures to complete. And, well anyway, its all in the hands
of my dvd man now who tells me he'll be burned the footage to disk this weekend.
So, next week look for an email about 'Big Kuta videos'. Also I'll put up some
more video clips of the event.
Thank you so much for everyone being so patient.
Have a fantastic day!
Sincerely,
Al Abidin
